Art of Birth and Wellness is based on the guiding principles of the midwifery
model of care. This model includes:
This model not only provides good care for birthing women and their babies,
but has been proven to reduce the incidence of birth injury, trauma and cesarean
section. We see our role as that of guide and advocate for the birthing women,
couple and family. This includes monitoring pregnancy, labor and birth, so as
to recognize any abnormalities that signal further medical consultation.
We are here to help create an environment of openness and respect for those we are caring for by facilitating open communication with all involved. We honor and protect the needs of our client’s privacy, monitoring and supporting as needed or wanted. In addition to the services we provide for pregnancy, we also perform gynecological care between pregnancies and holistic alternative health options.
Midwifery Care

The care I have received from Art of Birth and Wellness has been outstanding. I am extremely pleased to have chosen to use Art of Birth and Wellness instead of traditional western medicine because the level of care is so much greater. I can reach the midwives any time of day or night, each appointment lasts at least an hour with no waiting to get in, and all of my concerns are answered with expertise and compassion.
